Practical Observations From Esther
I. Too much wine will cloud judgment (1:10; Prov. 23:29-35)
II. It pays to do your job well (2:21-23; Tit. 3;1-2; 2:9)
A. The promotion of (Chap. 6) - do your job well and let the Lord take care of the promotion (Psa. 75:5-7).
III. The more the Lord promotes you, the more you will become a target of prideful people (3:5) - (Prov. 13:10; 29:23).
IV. God's placement of His people always serves the bigger picture of His plan (4:13-14)
A. Some great works are in captivity, i.e. Daniel, Nehemiah, and Paul.
V. Don't be anxious to hang someone else - it may be you on your own gallows (5:14; Prov. 25:21-23; Rom. 12:14-21)
VI. Setting aside special times of Thanksgiving are good things to do (9:27-28; Eph. 5:19-20)
VII. Seek another's wealth (10:3; 1 Cor. 10:24)
